Catalyst Solutions, LLC is currently looking for a qualified Systems Engineer with a distinguished portfolio of work to join us.

Overview: This position requires a person who is motivated to excel in a dynamic environment as a member of a Program Team. The employee will plan and oversee the development of complex systems and infrastructure designed to address project needs.

Job Tasks:
· Identify future needs and plan system development to address them
· Identify and manage program requirements and infrastructure in accordance with DoD defense acquisition guidelines
· Analyze and present alternative courses of action to achieve program requirements
· Identify, analyze, mitigate, and monitor program risks
· Establish and maintain consistency of product performance through effective configuration management
· Study current and new systems to identify areas of improvement

Tasks:
· Utilize the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) Process to review program operations
· Develop, maintain, and utilize Systems Engineering Plans to create a technical foundation for the program
· Design and implement testing methods and procedures in accordance with DoD standards
· Design and manage requirements trace-ability matrix
· Coordinate and perform engineering changes to systems
· Identify client needs and mission goals to create innovative system solutions to meet them
· Optimize systems to increase operational efficiency and address identified problems
· Train users to properly operate and maintain systems
· Write reports that document system performance and present recommendations for improvements
· Establish and manage obsolescence management for periodic hardware upgrades and system overhauls to ensure systems remain up-to-date
· Perform testing of networked devices to ensure the proper quality of service
· Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations of systems
· Document and troubleshoot system problems to ensure program operations run smoothly

· “Translate” program needs into clear statements that can be addressed with systems solutions
· Identify potential issues and proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure accessibility
· Collect information from varied relevant sources
· Effectively communicate information and ideas in written, oral, and visual presentations
· Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
· Develop plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
· Think creatively about problems as they arise

Tools and Technology:
· Assorted programming languages and MATLAB
· Microsoft Office Suite software-particularly MS Excel and MS Access
· Windows 10 – Configuration and Imaging
· CM PRO – Product Life-cycle Management software
· SharePoint
· Web-based collaborative tools

Preferred Experience and Other Qualifications:
· Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance required
· Willingness and ability to surge in support of program requirements
· Experience with DoD systems acquisition practices-such as SETR and testing- preferred
