Overview:  Catalyst Solutions is looking for training specialists with experience in developing and conducting training programs on C5ISR defense acquisition programs. This position requires a person who is driven to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic, project-oriented environment collaborating with a team of multi-disciplinary professionals.

Security Clearance Requirement:  Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Psychology, or Business.
  • Industry Training Certification.

Experience Requirements:  Experience requirements may be fulfilled simultaneously.

  • Ten (10) years of experience supporting Navy or Marine Corps projects to include: establishing training needs, developing goals and objectives, developing training programs, conducting New Equipment Training (NET), and applying the instructional system development (ISD) process.

Specific Performance Requirements:

  • Provide coordination of training courseware analysis, design, and development of C5ISR programs.
  • Contribute to the development of a Unit Training Course and Train the Trainer Course with a focus on providing knowledge and skills necessary to perform operations/maintenance tasks.
  • Support the development of a training program to provide classroom instruction for Testing, Initial Key Personnel Training (IKPT), and New Equipment Training (NET).
  • Assist in the development of Systems Approach to Training (SAT) compliant training material and lesson plans to provide operator training on new systems equipment and software as delineated with the Program Manpower, Personnel, and Training Plan (MPTP).
  • Conduct NET/Mobile Training Team (MTT) support to operational forces at I, II, III MEF, MARFORRES, and MARFORPAC.
  • Assist in performing refresher training, tailored unit training, “just in time” training, or exercise support training.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of training materials as related to the currently fielded systems within the family of systems.
  • Prepare Trip Reports within 5 days of return of each mission that includes a detailed class roster and student critique sheets.
  • Review and provide recommended updates to Acquisition Logistics and Integrated Product Support (IPS) documentation to include but not limited to Technical Manuals (TMs), Quick Reference Guides (QRG), equipment instructions (e.g. technical and modifications), and Fielding Plans, in accordance with the applicable Government guidance and procedures.
  • Participate in program meetings such as integrated product team (IPT) meetings and working groups. Evaluate the information presented. Formulate and prepare narrative observations and recommendations.
  • Provide meeting support to include coordination, preparation, hosting, minutes, and action item tracking.
  • Support manpower and training analyses as required.
  • Prepare responses to program taskers and send draft responses to the Government client for approval.

Equipment and Technology Familiarity:

Possess a strong technical background in various military-grade technologies, especially those related to surveillance, networking, and thermal imaging, to support Marine Corps ground sensor programs effectively:

  • Setup and Configuration of Checkpoints Systems: Understanding of hardware setups, including USB and MIL connector cameras, ethernet setups, and battery power configurations.
  • Thermal Imaging Devices: Familiarity with both cooled and uncooled thermal imagers, understanding their applications, and differences in technology.
  • Infrared and Image Intensifiers: Knowledge of infrared devices, their operational wavelengths, and the use of image intensifiers in night operations.
  • TSM Waveform: Proficiency in using and troubleshooting TrellisWare’s TSM waveform technology for secure and robust tactical communications.
  • Encryption and Security Protocols: Understanding of AES-256 encryption for communications security and knowledge of secure network setup and certificate management.
  • Thermography: Deep understanding of thermographic technology and the physics behind infrared radiation and thermal imaging.
  • Board Configuration and Maintenance: Skills in setting up and maintaining boards like the R5O board, including connections through Ethernet and USB interfaces.
  • Radio and Antenna Setup: Ability to configure and troubleshoot radios and antennas, including the use of different frequency bands and transmit power settings.
  • Video Surveillance Systems: Experience with video surveillance systems, including configuring and streaming video through networked systems.
  • Battery Management and Power Solutions: Knowledge of different military-grade batteries and power management solutions for extended field operations.
  • Network Routing and Multicast Support: Proficiency in network routing technologies, multicast support, and rapid deployment strategies.
  • GPS and Location Tracking: Familiarity with GPS technologies and location tracking in tactical environments.
  • Sensor Integration and Data Collection: Skills in integrating various sensors and collecting data for intelligence and surveillance purposes.
  • Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK): Knowledge of ATAK plugin integration for enhancing situational awareness and operational coordination.
